Afternoon Teas were started in the 1800’s by a Duchess who had a hard time making it from lunch to dinner without getting the munchies in between. Susan attended a tea party in Washington D.C. years ago, and was so delighted with the experience, she wanted to bring back the tradition and let people in the Quincy area in on this little treasure!

Each Thyme – Out Tea party really makes each guest feel special and papered! Susan brews her tea from gourmet tea leaves! No plain tea from a tea bag here! A typical tea party consists of two different kinds of Gourmet Tea, Three delicious Tea Sandwiches, including a bacon cream cheese and chive sandwich, chicken salad and a seasonal favorite. She tops it all off with around 4 different desserts! YUM!

Thyme – out Tea Parties are perfect for any occasion! Susan said that most of the parties she throws are actually just women wanting to get together and have fun! She is also happy to throw Tea Parties for any occasion, including Bridal and Baby Showers, Pre-wedding teas for bridal parties, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Birthday Parties, Anniversaries, Graduations, Retirements, Business Meetings, Customer or Staff Appreciation Days, Secretary’s Day, Church Groups, Book Clubs, Garden Parties, and any other reason you have to celebrate!  She has even done Themed parties for girls with their dolls, and fit the menu to the time period of the dolls! How fun!

When talking with Susan about her business, it was very clear that she LOVES what she does! Her favorite part of the job is helping to bring people together, and let them feel a little pampered for the afternoon.
